“We were so thrilled with our first visit! The staff spent time discussing what to expect from our new puppy! The new puppy packet was really informative as well! Thank you!” •Stacey & John Dziedzic
Pet Grooming: It’s Not Just for Show!
Grooming may sound like an “extra,” but it is really one of the most important veterinary services we provide. Why? When an animal has a clean coat and hair that is properly trimmed, there are few opportunities for parasites to move in and hide in knots and matted areas. If nails are allowed to grow too long, they can cause accidental injuries to your pet and become uncomfortable. Grooming can also help identify hair and skin conditions, which can be not only painful for your pet, but also will lead to inflammation and sores.
At Crestwood Animal Hospital, our staff includes a professional groomer who is on-site Monday through Friday. She works with all breeds of dogs and cats, and can meet your pet’s grooming needs. For breeds that need regular grooming, our groomer sets a regular schedule for easy coat maintenance. In the summer, shave-downs are a helpful option for long-haired cats and dogs. Although we offer grooming as a service to help your pet look better, our main focus is to provide grooming to keep your pet as healthy and happy as possible. Grooming can address all these issues. In short, it’s a great opportunity to enhance and monitor your pet’s health.
We are always pleased to see clients delighted and proud as they take their pets home looking better than they could have imagined. Of course, as a veterinary practice, we are even more pleased to know that our grooming is contributing to the health and longevity of your beloved pet.
