We offer teeth cleaning and digital X-ray examinations, and we recommend removing diseased, decayed, or damaged teeth when needed. Our technicians conduct teeth cleanings under the veterinarian’s instruction and supervision.
Pet Surgery
General veterinary surgery addresses all types of soft-tissue surgery services, including spay and neuter, dental surgery, removal of growths, oncological (cancer) surgery, cystotomy, wound repair, and more. We also provide selective orthopedic and cruciate surgery services.

The veterinarians at Crestwood Animal Hospital are skilled and experienced with all types of soft-tissue surgery, including spay and neuter, dental surgery, removal of growths, oncological (cancer) surgery, cystotomy, wound repair, and more. We also provide selective orthopedic and cruciate surgery services. Cruciate surgery restores the functioning of an animal’s knee when a cruciate ligament has ruptured. Left untreated, it can lead to painful arthritis and reduce an animal’s ability to move.
Digital X-Rays
Digital radiography is the latest in X-ray technology, and it is just one of the many veterinary diagnostic tools we use. Digital radiography provides X-rays quickly and generally with sharper and more accurate pictures than traditional X-rays.

Crestwood Animal Hospital has extensive veterinary diagnostic capabilities. First and foremost, we offer the latest in digital X-rays. Unlike traditional, manually created X-ray film images, digital radiography is fast and highly automated and can complement other diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound for your pet. This means less discomfort and fear for your pet. It also means that images are available quickly and are generally sharper and more accurate than traditional X-rays. Another advantage of digital radiography is that it results in less radiation exposure for your pet.
Oncology
Pet cancer care includes diagnosis and treatment, surgery, and chemotherapy, as well as exams to check for any growths, swelling, or other abnormalities, to bring your pet back to good health or keep him or her on the right track.

Everyone knows how serious a diagnosis of cancer can be. At Crestwood Animal Hospital, we believe quality of life for animals is the key and can be extended with proper treatment. It is always dependent on the particular animal and the type of cancer, but a diagnosis of cancer shouldn’t mean “giving up.” We offer chemotherapy treatments for certain types of cancer and have found that animals seem to handle this treatment better than people. Chemotherapy in animals may sound intimidating, but the side effects are much less severe than in humans. Nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, and hair loss do happen—but with less severity. Each type of cancer has a different chemotherapy protocol, which can range from pills given daily to a daylong stay at our hospital every few weeks for intravenous medications. Of course, in addition to chemotherapy, surgery is an option for some cancers.
Boarding
Pet boarding at Crestwood Animal Hospital features outstanding facilities and exceptional care, with several runs and cages for dogs and housing for smaller dogs in a different room from the larger breeds.

Ultrasonagraphy
Ultrasound, also called sonography, is a noninvasive tool that uses very high frequency sound to see inside your pet’s body. This tool helps us diagnose heart disease, liver problems, tumors, and many other conditions.

Exotic pet care covers a full range of services to treat exotic furry, feathered, and scaly pets, primarily provided by Dr. Teresa Gregory. Among the exotic pets that we see regularly are birds, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, hedgehogs, snakes, lizards, sugar gliders, various rodents, and small farm animals.
